Doctor Sean...

Doctor Sean - © Jennifer D. DePaolaIf you were lucky enough to know Sean Mundy and call him 'friend', or were a member of his family - You know how very special he was to so many.

Sean was a very compassionate person.  Always ready to lend a hand, or offer a shoulder to cry or lean on in a time of need.  He was everything that 'The Doctor' should be, and more.  He was one of my best friends.  I will never forget the funny little quirks he had, or the great sense of humor he possessed.  Nor will I ever forget his love of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and everything else along those lines, and what he taught me.  He has left an immeasurable mark upon my life, and I am grateful that I was able to get to know him for the brief period that I did.  He was truly like a brother to me and I will miss him more than he will ever know.

I began working on this piece shortly after I learned of Sean's passing.  In a way, I feel that my "muse" to create this was actually Sean himself. After all, he is The Doctor. ;)  And that would be just like him, too! :)

I created this piece to honor Sean, and also to give to his wife, Leisa.  Although after seeing how many lives Sean touched, and seeing all of the people that loved him just as much as he loved them, I felt it was only natural to offer prints of this piece to all of those who knew and loved Sean so that they might be able to keep a little piece of him with them always.

Although I want to make it clear that this is a Memorial Tribute piece, and while I did paint it, I am not taking any profit from the prints sold what-so-ever. The cost is the actual printing and shipping costs and paypal fees... nothing else.

For those who wish to make any sort of contribution or donation in Sean's name, please donate to your local Animal Shelters in his name.  Thank You.
